The search continues for a 22-year-old convicted sex offender who has managed to elude authorities for nearly two weeks since he removed a state-issued GPS monitoring device at a gas station in Manchester.
Jason B. Holt, of Woodbury, allegedly drove to a gas station Oct. 6 on U.S. Highway 53 in Manchester and cut his tracking device, which he has been required to wear as part of his probation with the Tennessee Board of Parole.
He has since been added to the most wanted sex offender list by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, according to a press release.
Holt, who is classified as a violent sex offender, was convicted in February 2009 of three counts of attempted child rape in Rutherford County.
He is described as a white male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, and he has a tattoo below his right eye. Authorities believe that Holt may be accompanied by a woman and two children.

Trailer stolen from parking lot
A flatbed trailer that was filled with several pieces of lawn equipment was reportedly stolen Sunday night from outside of Value Place near Interstate 24 in Murfreesboro.
The incident occurred some time after 7 p.m. in the 100 block of John Rice Boulevard, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident.
An estimated $2,000 worth of tools and equipment was on the 10-foot trailer, including a Craftsman riding lawn mower, when the theft occurred. In total, more than $2,600 worth of property was taken.
As of Wednesday, no one had been arrested or charged in connection with the theft, and the matter remains under investigation.
Store clerks robbed at gunpoint
An unidentified man allegedly made off with less than $125 after robbing two female employees at gunpoint Friday night at a Shell gas station in Murfreesboro.
No one was injured in the incident, which occurred just before midnight in the 1300 block of Northwest Broad Street, located near the intersection of West Clark Boulevard.
The women told police the suspect entered the store, pointed a silver pistol at them, and forced the pair to put all of the cash from two registers into a brown paper sack. He then fled the scene on foot toward Battleground Drive, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report.
Officers set up a perimeter in search of the suspect, and a K-9 unit was also called to the scene, but the suspect could not be located.
The suspect is a described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, and he is believed to be in his early 20s. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue bandana, black hooded jacket and blue jeans.
