Suspicious activity reported
An assistant manager reported Sunday three men – all of whom carrying exposed handguns – entered the Dollar General Store on South Church Street just before 7 p.m. and gathered in the back of the store before leaving.
The woman told police the men came from different directions separately and huddled together for a short period of time as if they knew each other, before purchasing over the counter medicine and leaving in separate vehicles, according to the Police Department incident report.
Police reviewed surveillance footage and agreed with the woman, noting the incident seemed quite suspicious, and recorded the matter for future investigations, if needed.
