Smyrna police are asking the public for help in identifying two men who allegedly stole tools from Gil’s Ace Hardware in early October.
On Oct. 10, the two unidentified suspects who were accompanied by a female child entered Gil’s Ace Hardware, located at 415 Nissan Drive, and allegedly stole several power tools, according to a Smyrna Police Department press release.
The men are accused of removing the packaging from the tools, concealing the items in their clothing, and walking out of the store without paying for the products.
Witnesses told police the men were last seen fleeing the area in a silver, four-door vehicle that appeared to have black rims on the wheels.
Officials released video surveillance footage Wednesday and are hoping someone will be able to identify the suspects, both of whom are dark-haired white males.
Based on the still images released to the public, one suspect was wearing a red, long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The other unidentified man was wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and baseball cap when the incident occurred.
