Police confiscated several marijuana plants Nov. 23 from a Gardner Drive home after a man admitted to growing the drug when he was caught allegedly smoking it while driving on 4th Avenue with the windows down.
Christopher R. Delvalle, 25, has been charged with possession of a Schedule I drug, possession of a Schedule II drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department arrest report filed by Officer Angela Alexander.
During the initial traffic stop, police found a trash bag containing 12 ounces of marijuana, an estimated street value of more than $1,600 in Tennessee.
At his home, they discovered five buckets containing stems of plants with the buds already removed, a large marijuana plant and items used for growing the drug. They also found five glass jars of marijuana buds, two plastic bags containing a total of 4.5 ounces of Psilocybin mushrooms, two LSD pills and $1,800 in cash, all of which was seized.
Delvalle was transported and held on a $9,500 bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. A preliminary hearing has been set for Jan. 26 in General Sessions Court.
Attempted robbery suspect apprehended A suspect was quickly apprehended Saturday when the victim he allegedly tried to rob outside of Gilligans on W. Main Street flagged down a police officer within moments of the incident.
Jerry L. Lillard, 19, has been charged with attempted aggravated robbery, possession of a Schedule IV drug intended for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and underage consumption, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department arrest report filed by Officer Timothy Harris.
After being questioned by investigators at the Police Department, Lillard was transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, where he was held on a $45,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 7 in General Sessions Court for a preliminary hearing.
Man accused of filing false report A 27-year-old man was charged with filing a false report Sunday for allegedly giving conflicting statements to police when they arrived at his Overhill Court home in response to a reported assault and aggravated burglary.
Justin Burgdoerfer told investigators that three black males came to his home and one struck him in the eye, causing him to pass out, before stealing various items, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report filed by Officer Matthew Harvey.
He later admitted to police that he was unsure of what happened because he had actually passed out from drinking and saw no one enter without his permission.
Burgdoerfer was arrested and transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged accordingly. A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
Father charged with child abuse A father is facing multiple charges for allegedly attempting to break his 13-month-old child’s neck in front of police officers Monday outside of Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
Glenn A. Climer Jr., 35, has been charged with felony child abuse, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department arrest report filed by Officer Bobby Edwards.
He was also charged with resisting arrest and assault on a police officer, due to an altercation that occurred when Officer David Harrison Jr., Edwards and two hospital security guards intervened to stop Climer from reportedly twisting his child’s head and neck in opposite directions, forcing the group to wrestle with him as they pulled the child to safety.
The child did not sustain life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
Climer was then taken into custody and held on a $31,500 bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear Jan. 11 in General Sessions Court for a preliminary hearing. |
