Law enforcement officials are asking the public for help in identifying a man and woman wanted in connection with the October burglary of a laundromat in La Vergne.
The incident occurred Oct. 18 just after 2 p.m. at the La Vergne Laundromat, located at 5227 Murfreesboro Road, according to a La Vergne Police Department press release.
Based on video surveillance footage, police believe the two suspects broke into the store and stole an unspecified amount of coins.
On Tuesday, police released images from the surveillance footage with the hope that someone will recognize the man and woman accused of breaking into the laundromat.
The images show a white male suspect who has brown hair, a mustache and goatee. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
The male suspect was accompanied by a blonde-haired woman who was wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 615-287-8667.
Woman discovers flatware missing from home
An elderly woman reported Monday that more than 70 pieces of antique silver flatware are missing from her home, located in the 800 block of North Rutherford Boulevard in Murfreesboro.
Because the flatware has remained in storage inside the dining room since Christmas Day last year, the 77-year-old woman told officers she did not know when the items were taken from her home, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report.
Based on additional statements and evidence, detectives are investigating whether the $26,000 worth of items was stolen while the home was recently being remodeled.
Police have not yet identified any possible suspects in connection with the incident, and the matter remains under investigation.
Group steals numerous items from Hollister
Three unidentified suspects who managed to escape in a stolen car made off with more than $1,500 worth of clothing Saturday night from Hollister at The Avenue Murfreesboro.
A loss prevention officer told detectives the group entered at 8:15 p.m. and began gathering various items that were displayed near the entrance of the store, located in the 2600 block of Medical Center Parkway.
In less than five minutes, the trio was able to grab nearly 30 pieces of clothing before fleeing the scene, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report.
When police traced the license plate number of the getaway car, a black Nissan Sentra, they discovered it had been reported stolen in Nashville – giving detectives few leads in the case.
The suspects are described as two black males and one black female, all of whom appeared to be in their early 20s.
Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 615-893-7867.
