Deliveries reported stolen A Murfreesboro woman reported two packages with $160 worth of goods were taken Dec. 28 from the front porch of her Shoshone Place town home.
The 31-year-old woman told police that both FedEx and UPS confirmed the packages had been delivered earlier that day, however, when she arrived home the shipments were not on her doorstep, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report filed by Officer Jay Hawkins.
The items listed as stolen consisted of $60 in bird feed and toys, as well as $100 in lingerie.
The woman said she did not know who would have taken the items. As of Wednesday, no suspect had been charged in connection with the misdemeanor theft, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Stranger threatens woman A 21-year-old woman reported Dec. 29 an unidentified man has called her home more than once threatening to sexually assault her in the near future.
The man has identified himself as “Robert” during the phone calls. However, the woman told police she does not know a man by that name, according to an MPD report by Sgt. Allen Cox.
She also said the man admitted to watching her without her knowledge.
Police advised the woman to contact her phone company and request the phone number be blocked, and an investigation has also been opened into the matter. |
