Crews to remove old MTMC pedestrian bridge

Old Middle Tennessee Medical Center Overhead Pedestrian Bridge Removal (Bell Street between Highland Ave and University Avenue)
Expected Road Closures:   Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:  The demolition contractor for MTMC will be removing the overhead pedestrian bridge across Bell Street. Bell Street will be closed between Highland Ave and University Ave.  There will be appropriate road closure signs and barricades in-place at both ends of the road closure.

Manson Pike/Fortress Boulevard Realignment Project
Expected Lane Closures: The traffic has been shifted to the north side on Medical Center Parkway/Manson Pike between I-24 and Fortress Boulevard. The contractor is working on the south side in preparation of shifting all the traffic to the newly built section of Fortress Boulevard. Westbound traffic on Manson Pike will be reduced to two lanes. There will be appropriate traffic controls in place and minor traffic signal modifications at Medical Center Parkway/Manson Pike and I-24. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Fortress Boulevard Widening Project (Between Blaze Drive and the new Manson/Fortress Intersection)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: The contractor will begin final paving and striping on Fortress Boulevard between Blaze Drive and Puckett Creek Crossing. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions.

CCTV Monitoring System Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: The contractor for the CCTV expansion project will be installing new power services and fiber/cameras along Medical Center Parkway. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Maney Avenue Street Improvement Project (between SE Broad Street and College Street)
Expected Road Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Road construction work continues along Maney Avenue between Broad Street and E Castle St. This section is closed to through traffic including the intersection of Maney Avenue and Castle Street. Access drives to the local residents and businesses will be kept open at all times. Motorists are advised to use Highland Ave and Academy Street travelling north/south and State Street and Vine Street travelling east/west. Work continues with road closures

AT&T Project at Memorial Boulevard and Sulphur Springs Road
Expected Lane Closures: Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The contractor for AT&T will be working at the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and Sulphur Springs Road. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane at this intersection. Southbound traffic will not be affected by this work. Arrow boards and proper traffic controls will be in place.

Lytle Creek Sewer Replacement Project (Intersection of Hickerson Drive and West Castle Street)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Thursday: South Walnut from West Castle to the dead end section will be paved and open to traffic. Final surfacing will be done at a later time. Detour signs will be in-place. Work has begun on both sides of S. Church Street near Lytle Creek. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

AT&T Fiber Optic Project (Broad Street between Middle Tennessee and Academy Street)
Expected NO Lane Closures: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The contractor for AT&T will be installing underground fiber optic cables along the east side of Broad Street. There will be no lane closures. All work will be done off-street with minor interruptions at driveway entrances and exits. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Veterans Parkway (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road)
Expected NO Lane Closures: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The contractor will be performing clearing and grubbing work off the street between Barfield Road and Barfield Crescent Road. There will be no lane closures. Expect minor truck traffic interruptions entering and exiting the roadway. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

MTSU Phase 3 Project at the intersection of Greenland Drive and Wiles Court/Scottland Drive

Expected Lane Closures: Monday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Contractor for MTSU will be installing a water line across Greenland Drive at Wiles Ct/Scottland Drive. Traffic on Greenland Drive will be reduced to one lane with flagman directing traffic through the work area. Arrow boards and proper traffic controls will be in place.

Comcast Fiber Optic Project (Haynes Drive between Memorial Boulevard and Regenwood Drive & Regenwood Drive between Haynes Drive and Sulphur Springs Road)
Expected Road Closures: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The contractor for Comcast will be installing fiber optic cables along Haynes Drive and Regenwood Drive. There will be a moving lane closure on Haynes Drive and Regenwood Drive between Memorial Boulevard and Sulphur Springs Road. Arrow board and proper traffic controls will be in place.

Saint Andrews Drive Road Improvement Project (between Holsted Drive and Roscommon Drive)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday & Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: City contractor will continue making roadway improvements on Saint Andrews Drive between Holsted Drive and Roscommon Drive. Traffic on Saint Andrews drive will be reduced to one lane with flagman directing traffic through the work area. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Access to local residents will be kept open. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Sewer Improvement Project (W Lytle Street, N Maple Street, N Walnut Street and W College Street)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Sewer improvement work will be performed on W Lytle St, N Maple St, N Walnut St and W College St all on the north and west of the public square. There will be partial lane closures and traffic interruptions.

Memorial Boulevard and Northfield Boulevard

Broad Street and Northfield Boulevard

Old Fort Parkway and Chaffin Place

Rutherford Boulevard and Mercury Boulevard

S Church Street and Broad Street

S Church Street and Middle Tennessee Boulevard

Expected Lane Closures: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. & 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The contractor will be installing pole foundations and performing overhead and underground utility work at the above intersections. The will be no lane closures or traffic interruptions during the daytime work and partial lane closures with traffic interruptions during the nighttime work. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

TDOT Re-Paving Project (NW Broad Street between Florence Road and Thompson Lane)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The contractor for TDOT will be milling and re-paving NW Broad Street between Florence Road and Thompson Lane. Milling work will begin tonight at the intersection of NW Broad Street and Florence Road. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. All milling and paving work will be done at night. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Sun Trust Bank Window Cleaning Project (corner of Main Street and Spring Street)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: The contractor for Sun Trust Bank will be cleaning windows on the outside of the building at the corner of Main Street and Spring Street. The right turn lane on Main Street at Spring Street will be closed to accommodate the man lift that is needed to accomplish the job. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Middle Tennessee at Bell Street Sewer Improvement Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Sewer improvement work will be performed on Bell Street at Middle Tennessee Boulevard. Bell Street will be closed and the southbound traffic on Middle Tennessee will be reduced to one lane and shifted to the east at the traffic signal. Expect lane closures and traffic interruptions on Middle Tennessee and Bell Street. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.: City casting and plating crews will continue working on the following streets: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.

Brewster Court between Brentmeade Drive to cul-de-sac

Overhill Court between Brentmeade Drive to cul-de-sac

Overhill Court between Brentmeade Drive and Vinemont Drive

Vinemont Drive between the joint to Gatherhill Drive
