One man suffered life-threatening injuries in a one-vehicle crash about 10 p.m. Wednesday on North Thompson Lane, a Murfreesboro Police spokesman said.
Driver Edward H. Howell, 56, of East Northfield Boulevard, suffered injuries in a one-vehicle crash near 823 N. Thompson Lane, spokesman Kyle Evans reported.
"When officers arrived, they discovered that a red Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling west on North Thompson Lane, left the roadway and rolled onto a grassy area," Evans reported.
Paramedics treated Howell en route to Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was later transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
A center spokeswoman said Howell was listed in critical condition Thursday afternoon.
The Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating.
