County employees boost United Way by $170K | United Way
The Rutherford County government and schools recently presented a check to United Way for $170, 037.78. The donation was a result of funds raised through the county government and schools’ annual United Way campaign. United Way has secured $2.2 million in pledges of its $2.8 million goal as of Feb. 12, and the campaign is scheduled to end Feb. 14.

Yes, the employees are contributing through payroll deductions. How else do you think majority of the community donates to the U Way? Almost 96% of the money U Way receives is through ordinary employees making extraordinary donations. Some contribute $1 a week, others contribute more.
