Coty Leanne Shelton, age 30, of Murfreesboro, passed away on February 15, 2010 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was a native of Knoxville, Tennessee but resided in Murfreesboro for over 20 years.
Coty was preceded in death by her father, Virgil F. Shelton. She is survived by her husband, Troy "T.J." Barrett; mother, Linda A. Day; in-laws, Butch and Jane Barrett of Rockvale; grandmother, Doris Varner of Texas, brother, Virgil (Mechelle) Shelton II of Murfreesboro; best friend, Kathy Coleman and two nieces, Miranda Shelton and Rachel Coleman.
Chapel service for Coty will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Jimmy Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home, 820 S. Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130. (615) 893-2422 www.jenningsandayers.com
