On Tuesday, June 8th, Linebaugh and Smyrna Libraries will host children’s entertainer Conductor Jack.
As a part of the “Make a Splash, Read” Summer Reading Program, Conductor Jack will be performing splish splash songs in his own unique musical flair.
Based out of Nashville, Conductor Jack is a singing train engineer who loves to sing about trains, ride trains, and draw trains. Jack plays the guitar, banjo, ukulele and the harmonica. Jack, who is originally from Minneapolis, comes from a long line of musicians. Jack's grandfather was a vaudevillian on Broadway in the 1920s and his great grandfather was a British music hall star of the late 1890s. With such deep musical heritage, Jack is able to perform a quality show, which The New York Times calls “mesmerizing and captivating.”
This program will be held in the conference room at Smyrna Library on June 8th at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and at 1:00 p.m. at Linebaugh Library. The program is free and open to the public.
