Murfreesboro’s legislative delegation will meet with the Rutherford County Commission’s Steering Committee at 5:30 Monday night in the Commission Chambers of the Historic Courthouse.
The Steering Committee meets with the delegation each year before the General Assembly’s session begins to discuss up-coming legislation and its potential impact on Rutherford County.
This year, the state budget shortfall and economic conditions, in general, will be the hot topics. Last year the commission discussed state education funding, senior tax relief and Middle Point Landfill.
