Clarence Elmer Goad, age 73 of Jasper Johnson Road died at his home March 28, 2014. He was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by his father; George W. Goad; son, William Hardy Goad; brother, Connie Goad and sister, Shirley Goad. Mr. Goad was retried from Tennessee Farmers Co-op, after 45 years of service.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother, Tommy Underwood will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.

Mr. Goad is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sarah Barlow Goad; mother, Susie Cooper Goad of Murfreesboro; son, Ricky Joe Goad and Carolyn of Murfreesboro; daughters, Robbie June Newland and husband Barry of Murfreesboro, Debra Kay Weaver and  Dale of Murfreesboro; brother, James Ervin Goad and wife Lynn of Milton; sister, Reathie Jane Winfrey of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Amanda Cooper and husband Joshua, Ryan Goad and wife Brittany, Laura Newland, Joshua Goad and wife Erika, Dustin Newland and Taylor Newland; eight great-grandchildren.

The Goad family would like to thank Caris Healthcare, Care South Health Care, Family and Friends for all the care and support they have given us. We would also like to give a special thank you to Brother, Tommy and Helen Underwood for the many meals and the support they have given to us. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel 615-893-5151.
