City to hold Clean Up Day of Patterson Area



During the Community Clean Up Day of the Patterson Area this Saturday, local residents are encouraged to clean up around their property and leave trash items by their curb for free pickup by city employees and volunteers.

The City of Murfreesboro organizes this event in the Patterson Area every few years concentrating on litter, unwanted furniture and appliances, tires without rims, etc. Local volunteers will be joining forces with the City of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation, Police, Sanitation and Transportation departments to help clean up the area.

Volunteers Needed: The event will begin at 8 a.m., anyone wishing to get involved as a volunteer should meet at the Castle Street Entrance of the Patterson Park Community Center. Parking is available in the front parking lot of community center. Free refreshments and food will be available after the event for all those taking part.

In case of inclement weather, please call 890-5333 on the day of the event. If cancelled, the rain date is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31 at 8 a.m.
