| Murfreesboro City Council will not hold its weekly meeting Thursday night and several public hearings have been scheduled for next Thursday, July 24.
The following public hearings will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24 in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 111 West Vine St.
- Ordinance 08-OA-31 considers whether to annex and develop a plan of services for an area on Joe B. Jackson Parkway. Map
- Ordinance 08-OZ-32 will rezone land along Interstate 24 between Elam Road and Joe B. Jackson Parkway from Single-Family Residential Fifteen (RS-15) District and Single-Family Residential Twelve (RS-12) District to Planned Industrial Development (PID) District. Map
- Ordinance 08-OZ-33 considers modifying the conditions of a 22.8-acre Planned Unit Development (PUD) District on Covenant Boulevard, near Franklin Road, to increase the density from 12 to 16 units per acre for a total of 360 dwelling units. Map
- Ordinance 08-OZ-34 will rezone land at Memorial Boulevard and Cedar View from Single-Family Residential Fifteen (RS-15) District to Planned Commercial Development (PCD) District. Map
- Ordinance 08-OZ-35 will rezone land between Lascassas Pike and Old Lascassas from Single-Family Residential Fifteen (RS-15) District and Planned Commercial Development (PCD) District to Residential Multi-Family Sixteen (RM-16) District. Map
- Ordinance 08-O-36 will change the city’s zoning regulations for airport height regulations to the airport overlay district.

- Ordinance 08-O-37 will rewrite the regulations for parking lots and require a special-use permit for construction of buildings used for gatherings, such as schools, public buildings, clubs and churches. It also allows the sale of Christmas trees on lots associated with such buildings.
