Bridge over Broad Street TDOT Project

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. there will be alternating lane closures on Northwest Broad Street, Memorial Boulevard, Old Fort Parkway and Ridgley Road for construction of the new overpass. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. Broadmor Boulevard is closed to through traffic for construction work. West Lytle Street at Broad Street is opened to traffic and is restricted to right-in and right-out movements only. Westbound traffic has been shifted to the north side to align with the newly constructed ramp. On Broad Street, the northbound and southbound left turn movements can only be made during a protected phase with turn arrows. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

West Lytle Street Roadway Improvement Project (Baker Street to Church Street)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday West Lytle Street will be closed to through traffic between Walnut Street and Maple Street for construction work. North Maple Street between College Street and Burton Street and West Lytle Street between North Maple Street and North Walnut Street will be closed to through traffic until January 6, 2017. Access to local businesses will be kept open at all times. Message boards and appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Rutherford County Judicial Center Project (between Burton Street and Lytle Street)

Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 - Friday, March 31, 2017 as part of the Rutherford County Judicial Center construction, Burton Street between Maple Street and Church Street will be closed to traffic to make roadway improvements. Burton Street traffic will be detoured onto College Street. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Middle Tennessee Widening Project (Greenland Drive to East Main Street)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday traffic on Middle Tennessee Boulevard will be shifted to the east side and reduced to two-lanes two-way between East Main Street and Greenland Drive. East Lytle Street is closed at Middle Tennessee Boulevard. The section of East Lytle Street between North Bilbro Avenue and Middle Tennessee Boulevard is only open to local traffic. Appropriate traffic control signs and message boards will be in place.

Sewer Pump Station Project (Northwest Broad Street at Battlefield Parkway)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. a contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be installing sewer lines within TDOT right-of-way/Battlefield Parkway. A small section of Battlefield Parkway is closed. Underground bore work continues. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

AT&T Underground Fiber Installation Work (East Northfield Boulevard between Empress Drive and Deerwood Avenue)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, weather permitting, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. AT&T crews will be installing underground fiber lines on East Northfield Boulevard between Empress Drive and Deerwood Avenue. There will be no lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Private Development Water Tie-in Work (Glenside Court at cul-de-sac)

Expected Road Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. a contractor for a private development will be installing water line near the cul-de-sac on Glenside. Traffic on Glenside Cout will be reduced to one lane flagging operation. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

City Urban Environmental Department Tree Removal Work (West Clark Boulevard between Allen Avenue and Poplar Avenue)

Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday and Thursday, weather delayed, 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. City Urban Environmental crews will remove trees along West Clark Boulevard between Allen Avenue and Poplar Avenue. Traffic will be detoured on to Allen Avenue, Farrar Street and Poplar Avenue. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Turn Lane Improvement Projects (Medical Center Parkway, Cherry Lane)

1) Medical Center Parkway at Robert Rose Drive

Expected Road Closures: Monday and Tuesday, weather permitting, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. a contractor for a private development will be paving the right turn lane on Medical Center Parkway at Robert Rose Drive. Westbound traffic on Medical Center Parkway will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. Eastbound traffic will not be affected. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

2) Medical Center Parkway just east of Gateway Boulevard

Expected Road Closures: Monday through Friday, weather permitting, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. a contractor for a private development will pave the right turn lane on Medical Center Parkway just east of Gateway Boulevard. Westbound traffic on Medical Center Parkway will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. Eastbound traffic will not be affected. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

3) Cherry Lane near the new soccer fields

Expected Road Closures: Monday and Tuesday, weather permitting, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. a contractor for the city will pave the turn lane on Cherry Lane. Westbound traffic on Medical Center Parkway will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. Eastbound traffic will not be affected. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
