Christmas For Kids began making Christmas dreams come true 25 years ago, when the bus drivers of the top entertainers in music, decided to create their own charity to support the children of Middle Tennessee. Now, over 350 children are taken on over 60 entertainers’ tour buses for a full day of entertainment and shopping with funds raised at various sponsored events, the largest of which is this benefit concert.
Daniels just released another album, called Deuces, filled with duets with some of country’s favorite artists, including one cut from another Christmas For Kids Charity Concert performer, Montgomery Gentry. He also recently released the CD/DVD “Live From Iraq”, recorded during his concerts for our troops; and earlier this year, he helped write and edit a book titled, Growing Up Country: What Makes Country Life Country.
The superb vocal duo, Montgomery Gentry also perform at this year’s concert. Recently nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year by the CMA, Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery are no strangers to awards. In their first official year as a duo, they were named CMA’s Duo of the Year, AMA’s Favorite New Artist, and ACM’s Top New Vocal Group, all in one season.
Rodney Atkins has been named the Academy of Country Music’s “Best New Male Vocalist” for the year. Recently, he was the opening act on Martina McBride’s tour.
Taylor Swift – once just an adolescent, now a full-fledged country music sensation had her debut album go Platinum, and in December, she goes back into the studio to start recording her next album. Her latest single “Our Song” is climbing the charts, and in October alone, she’ll be featured in Rolling Stone, US Weekly, USA Today publications and will appear on Regis and Kelly.
Like Taylor Swift, Chris Young got his start singing very early in life. The 2006 Nashville Star winner was a CFK supporter long before his fame as he has donated his time to the concert for the past four years
