Jennifer Black Dunn will be kicking off her campaign to Chase the Cure with an Around the Town Scavenger Hunt from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, March 27 at Arcadian Springs, 6310 Wade Springs Rd. in Murfreesboro.
Be sure to bring your digital cameras for this Chase themed fun scavenger hunt. Groups of three to four will be going around Murfreesboro gathering items on your list. Team with the most items / points on your list under the time limit wins. Prizes will be awarded for different items on the list also.
Teams leave out at 2:30 p.m. and should return by 5 p.m. Cost is $5 per person to play - kids 12 & under play free with all proceeds benefiting Dunn’s 2010 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year campaign.
The Walter Hill resident was nominated for the 2010 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year. Her son Chase Donnell was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma in August 2007.
Chase eventually lost his battle with cancer in March 2008, but he made a lasting impression on the community with his last wish: to remodel the gymnasium at Walter Hill Elementary for all his friends and fellow students.
The Chase the Cure with an Around the Town Scavenger Hunt will also feature Easter pictures taken on sight also by Wendy Clark Photography. Pictures made inside or out with a beautiful Spring setting.
Setting fee is donation of your choice that goes directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. WONDERFUL variety of portrait package deals will be available to you starting at $28. Fifteen percent of the sale will go towards Chasing the Cure. Walk in or call to set an appointment. She will be there from 2-6 p.m.
You do not have to participate in the scavenger hunt to have your pictures made. (We do ask that you please refrain from using personal cameras to take pictures while photographer is doing portraits.)
