Charles Dicken’s beloved orphan who “asked for more” sings into life in The Center for the Arts production of “Oliver!”.

Oliver! opened in London in 1960 and immediately became a huge hit, running over 2000 performances. The story of the orphaned Oliver, Fagin and his troupe of pick-pockets (including the Artful Dodger), the sweet Nancy and evil Bill Sikes now takes over Murfreesboro under the guidance of director Cyndie Verbeten, music director Denis Pessar, and choreographer Julie Wilcox.

This production is good for the whole family, keeping in mind it depicts the rough lives of people in poverty in England in the 1800s. The music is memorable and the story wrenches the heart as it carries you along.
