Tickets are on sale now for Central Magnet School’s second annual Super Trivia Bowl and auction that will be held Saturday, Jan. 26.

“We are delighted to announce the return of our inaugural champions, Team Smartacus, who will return to defend their title,” said Karen Scott, Super Trivia Bowl chairwoman.

Although this is only the second year for the event, it is a long-term goal to create a memorable, fun, community event that people want to come back to year after year, she said.

In addition to inviting all the inaugural champions and teams to return, Scott has also issued formal, written challenges to all local venues that hold regular trivia nights.

Besides 10 rounds of fun trivia, the event includes a big board auction featuring an Around the World Progressive dinner for eight, an all-school pass, and a private tour of Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Company. This year’s meal will be catered by Maple Street Grill. Team tickets are $125 and individual tickets are $25.

Registration and sponsorship information is available at the Central Magnet website www.central.rcs.k12.tn.us.

The Super Trivia Bowl is Central Magnet’s primary fundraiser, and all proceeds go to benefit the students and staff.

In addition to the Super Trivia Bowl, the school will hold a chili supper from 4:30 p.m. till 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, followed by a basketball game featuring the high school team versus Upperman.
