MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Central Magnet School will play host to the third annual Super Trivia Bowl and auction on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The Super Trivia Bowl is Central Magnet’s primary community fundraiser, and all proceeds go to benefit the students and staff.

Team tickets are $180 and individual tickets are $30.

For those who do not have an entire time of six, individual players will be partnered together.

Spectator tickets are also available.

Fun prizes will also be awarded for best team name and most spirit.

Registration and sponsorship information is available www.central.rcs.k12.tn.us

New to the Super Trivia Bowl this year is an online pre-auction for those not able to attend the event. Residents can place bids on many of the great items available this year, including a condominium rental at Redfish on 30A in Rosemary Beach, Fla., and $750 worth of landscaping from Sleepy Hollow Nursery.

The online auction began Jan. 11 on the Comas-Montgomery website.

Another new addition this year is Newk’s Eatery.

“We are delighted to have Middle Tennessee Medical Clinic returning as our scoreboard sponsor and to welcome Newk’s as this year’s food sponsor,” said Amy Jaramillo, who serves as chair of the Super Trivia Bowl.

"We are thrilled to be a part of such a fun event," said Mollie Ann Trollinger, marketing director for Newk's Eatery. "We have enjoyed our partnership with Central Magnet through Spirit Nights at Newk's, and we look forward to supporting local education even more through this Trivia Night sponsorship."

The game consists of 10 rounds of 10 questions each of Central Magnet style trivia.

“We will have the free-pass tokens and the rent-a-genius options available for purchase again this year, which should prove very helpful as our reigning champions Team Us will be back to defend their title and near-perfect score,” committee member Lee Anne Carmack added. “We would also like to formally challenge the other local high schools and especially local businesses who host trivia nights to sponsor teams.”
