Join Discovery Center and Murfreesboro City Schools to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16. This event is free and open to the public thanks to a grant from The Nissan Foundation.
Visitors can explore the traditions of Hispanic culture, create masterpieces in creation station, and experience dramatic and visual art performances by students at Hobgood Elementary, Bradley Academy, Mitchell Nielsen Elementary and the Discovery School at Reeves Rogers.
Plus, listen to the beautiful sounds of traditional Hispanic music and enjoy food provided by La Siesta as well as dishes prepared by Murfreesboro City Schools ELL adult students.
This is a family-oriented event that engages the community at large to enjoy a night of fun. This year expect an event full of culture, folklore, Latin music and food.
Serving more than 130,000 people annually, the Discovery Center is a nonprofit youth museum dedicated to inspiring exploration, enhancing learning, and building confidence through diverse programs and exhibits.
The Discovery Center is located at 502 SE Broad St., in Murfreesboro. The museum is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and 1 p.m.-5p.m. Sundays. A door fee of $6 is charged and annual memberships are available.
