Attendees at this year’s T-Bones & Politics fundraiser will have a chance to show their support for their favorite Republican Presidential candidate by participating in a presidential straw poll.

The poll, which will be certified by the accounting firm Jaques CPA of Murfreesboro, will be the first accountant-certified straw poll this year in Tennessee.  

The annual fundraiser, which this year features FOX News analyst Dick Morris, will take place this Saturday at Messick Farm, 4707 Lascassas Pike in Lascassas, and is sponsored by State Rep. Joe Carr (R-Lascassas).

Money raised from the event will benefit Tennessee Republican legislative candidates in the 2012 election.  

“In addition to hearing from a great speaker in Dick Morris and enjoying live music, attendees at this year’s event can let their voice be heard in the Republican Presidential race, which is heating up by the day,” Carr said. “With so many straw polls already taking place across the country, this will be one of the first certified polls in Middle Tennessee to gauge a candidate’s support in the state.”
