The pool of candidates for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce president is down to one, confirmed Norman Brown, search committee chair.
Brown, Chamber chairman-elect, said the final candidate will interview again with members of the Chamber board of directors May 27-28.
Brown declined to release the name of the final candidate, who wished to keep his name confidential in the interview process.
"I think we have a very good candidate," he said. "Hopefully, we will be able to have him on board pretty soon.
The candidate's wife also will be in town May 27-28 to receive a tour of Rutherford County.
Brown said after next week's interviews he hoped the Chamber would be able to announce its new president, but no timetable has been set. |
