What does your company produce: Focused outcomes in sales, production, leadership, cultures and results

What is your basic business philosophy: First find your unique gifts and learn to package those gifts in a way that the world needs so you can monetize them. Second, learn to inspire people to offer their gifts to the cause through a systematic and structured way that involves ongoing growth, leadership and results. Third, identify where you want to go and do something EVERY SINGLE day to help you get there. Be focused in your execution with scoreboards that track daily progress toward your dominant focus. And, finally build a culture that gives birth to the potential of people where people click on all cylinders.

What is your proudest business achievement: In my first career as a women’s basketball coach it was winning a championship where none had existed in over three decades at Riverdale. Secondly, it’s now being a leader and coach to some of the top business minds and entrepreneurs in the country, including John Floyd of Ole South Properties, Shane Reeves and Rick Sain of Reeves-Sain, John Jones of the John Jones Real Estate Team, and Wib Evans, the COO of FirstBank. Writing books that are being bought and read all over the country is also an amazing feeling.

What led you to Murfreesboro: Going to college at my alma mater MTSU and my first big job as an assistant basketball coach at Riverdale at 19 years old.

What is your educational background: My undergraduate degree is in education. My master’s is in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on administration and supervision. I am ABD (all but dissertation) with a PH.D in Human Performance with an emphasis in management and organizational leadership.

Where are you originally from: Woodbury

What do you do for fun: Vacationing at my condo in Florida, reading, watching old episodes of West Wing, and I love listening to some good, live country music.

Tell us about your family: Both my mother Melanie and my father James still live in Woodbury. My mother has been a nurse most of her life and my father is a supervisor at Johnson Controls.

Who was your mentor: My greatest leadership mentor was Stephen Covey.
