Burglars steal Wii, handgun

Burglars broke into a house and several vehicles, stealing property ranging from a Wii system to a handgun, sheriff’s deputies reported.

Someone broke a door into Juan Fonseca’s home Friday on Manson Pike, Deputy Troy Terranova reported. Items stolen were a television, DVD player, computer and Wii system. Loss was set at $1,500 plus $500 damage.

David Aymett of Powells Chapel road reported burglars stole a laptop computer and a shotgun from his vehicle. Value was estimated at $1,700.

Someone stole about $250 worth of property from Jerry Tucker of Watts Road, Deputy Anthony Towle reported. Items taken were an iPod, earphones and case.

Neighbor Candy Swan of Watts Road reported someone removed a handy cam with compact discs of dog agility trials from her Honda Odyssey.

Burglars stole a .45-semi-automatic handgun from Chelsea Hill of Riddick Court.

In another case, Robert Douglas Hoover of Christiana-Hoovers Gap Road reported vandals emptied the transmission fluid from a 1999 Freightliner dump truck, causing $3,000 damage.
