Cadance Bailliez, 4, who has leukemia and acute lymphoma, and her family, spent a week at Disney World thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

While the family vacationed, burglars broke into their Corner Drive home, stole almost $10,000 worth of games and electronic equipment and spray-painted vulgar words on the exterior and interior, sheriff’s Cpl. Monica Fonseca reported.

Cadance’s father, James, was livid when a friend notified him Thursday in Florida about the burglary and vandalism to his home between June 29 and July 3.

“It was horrible,” James Bailliez Jr. said.

He’s offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the burglars. People who have information may call him at 414-2632.

“I’d love to catch the person who did this,” Bailliez said.

After coming home from vacation, Bailliez, Cadance, her brother, Tre, 9, and sister, Megan, 6, couldn’t go to their house for two days until their father was able to paint over the words.

Burglars stole televisions, a Wii system and games, Play Station 3, computer, surround system and DVD camera. The burglars didn’t touch anything in his daughters’ room.

This is the second time the family was victimized by crime. When Cadance underwent intense chemotherapy and remained hospitalized 30 days, thieves stole two four-wheelers.

Sheriff’s Detective Ralph Mayercik is investigating. People who have information may also call him at 904-3044.

“It’s very upsetting someone with no compassion could do this to a family with a little one going through this,” Mayercik said.

Bailliez said he hopes the burglars bragged to someone who will notify him.

“It would just make my day,” Bailliez said.

People who did this are the lowest of the low! But they are probably juveniles who, if caught, will get a slap on the wrist and told to never do it again! Only when the punishment is severe enough will it act as a deterent to punks like this!

Nice thing is....karma always comes back around. If I were this scum...I would be looking over my shoulder.

I'd bet that these low life punks are some who live around close and know a lot about this family's business.

It's time to get tough with juvenile thugs who have no parental involvement! Time to get tough with their deadbeat parents, too.

In all fairness (and I'm certainly NOT defending thieving), but these guys probably had no clue as to the problems this family was facing.

That said, Sunny, you're 100% right.
