Burglars steal from Rockvale storage unit

Burglars stole $4,450 worth of property from a Rockvale storage unit Sunday, a sheriff’s deputy reported.

Nell Beatey of Jackson Ridge Road near Rockvale reported someone stole the items from her rented Thompson Services rental unit, a deputy reported. Items taken included a flat screen television, bedroom suite, curio cabinet, tables, dining room table and chairs, cedar chest, recliner and satellite receivers.

In an unrelated case, thieves stole a red flatbed trailer from Richard Lyles of Crosspark Drive Saturday. It was valued at $3,000.

Cpl. Scot Appleton reported a driver stole a 2001 Ford Mustang from Mindy Johnson of Puckett Creek Crossing when she left it running with the keys in the ignition and unlocked Friday at Kountry Korner Market on Old Nashville Highway.

Deputies searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him.
