Burglars steal firearms from two homes

Burglars stole firearms during two home burglaries, Murfreesboro Police reported Thursday.

Several rifles and handguns were stolen from William Koenig of Georgetown Lane, Officer Stephen McGowan reported. Other items taken were silver jewelry and car stereos.

Loss was set at more than $7,000.

In another case, Officer Michael Rickard reported burglars stole about $2,500 worth of property from Nathan Goodwin of Monroe Street.

Items taken included a LCD TV, two guitars, an iPod and deck, rifle and ammunition.
