A resident caught a juvenile ransacking her refrigerator in the garage Sunday night at her Blackman community home, a sheriff’s deputy reported.
Resident Beth M. Newman of Two Deer Trail entered her garage and saw the boy sorting through the refrigerator, Deputy Joseph McCool reported. When she shouted, the boy got into a red Ford Ranger pickup truck.
Her husband, Ricky, followed the boy but was unable to stop him. A possible suspect was identified.

Victim Kedrick Lajuan Jackson of Gweneth Circle told deputies he was robbed of $1,245 Thursday when he walked on state Route 96 West (Franklin Highway) near Franklin Heights, Deputy David Foote reported.
Jackson walked to the Mapco convenience store to purchase snacks. When he paid for the snacks, he pulled out $1,250 he received in an insurance settlement. Two men witnessed the transaction.
While walking home, Jackson reported a man called to him, put a handgun to his rib cage and said, “Give me what you got.”
Jackson handed over the cash and walked home. Because he was afraid of retaliation, Jackson told Foote he didn’t report the robbery until two days later when his father asked about the cash.
