Site plans for a proposed bowling alley on Butler Drive are among the items to be considered for approval by the Murfreesboro Planning Commission Wednesday.

Developer Triple Diamond Property is requesting the approval of a site plan for 50,000 square feet on 4.74 acres zoned heavy industrial, according to the meeting agenda. The plans are for the conversion of a vacant warehouse into a bowling alley along Butler Drive off South Church Street, just west of Interstate 24.

A bowling alley is a permitted use in the heavy industrial zone.

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission meets July 23 at 1 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the first floor of Murfreesboro City Hall at 111 W. Vine St.

Developer Joe Ferro has requested the approval of a 5,912-square-foot site plan on .66 acres along Brandies Circle off Cason Lane for a speculative office/retail building. The property is zoned commercial fringe.

Additionally, developer ZIP properties has resubmitted plans for a retail and office center at the northwestern corner of Medical Center Parkway and Thompson Lane. Walgreens Pharmacy has already signed on to build on the site.

The rezoning request was originally denied by planners after a public hearing July 9. Planners had problems with proposed tenants, layout and access in and out of the development.

The developer will present revisions for the site at Wednesday’s meeting. The request could then be scheduled for another public hearing.

Other agenda items include:

• Caffey Property, Section 1 preliminary plat for 11 lots on 11.9 acres zoned commercial highway located along AgriPark Drive. Abundant Life Christian Center is the
developer.

This preliminary plat for a commercial subdivision is located along the Agri-Park Drive extension east of Gresham Lane.

• Caffey Property, Section 2 preliminary plat for four lots on 2.89 acres zoned commercial highway located along Agripark Drive. Chuck Farrer and Clay Beach are the developers.

This preliminary plat for a commercial subdivision is located along the Agripark Drive
extension south and west of John Rice Boulevard.

• North Walnut Close site plan for 5,496 square feet on .5 acres zoned RM- 16 located along North Walnut Street. David Shearon is the developer.

This site plan is for a proposed small multi-family complex located along North Walnut Street. This is a permitted use in the RM-16 zone district.
