The delightful sounds of bluegrass gospel music will fill the air as the Gospel Showcase takes place Sunday, July 12 at the Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival.

The Sunday afternoon showcase will present the music of the Tipton Family Band.

Following the performances of special guests, there will be an hour-long Hymn Fest, an uplifting time of singing the old hymns of faith.

This year marks the 19th anniversary of the Gospel Showcase, which began in 1990. Previously, the showcase was held under the gazebo in Cannonsburgh Village. The increased popularity of the event made it necessary to relocate to the main stage.

The spirit-filled showcase is the closing event for the three-day festival.

Cannonsburgh Village is located at 312 Front Street (behind the NW Broad Street Shoney’s) in Murfreesboro.

The 5th annual Ministry Fair also will take place during the Gospel Showcase. Faith-based organizations, social service agencies and church-sponsored ministries of Rutherford County will gather near the Uncle Dave Macon Days stage to display information about their work and talk to guests about involvement.

This event is free and open to the public.
