Blackman High and Middle schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution Tuesday morning after a suspect fled Interstate Crime Enforcement officers.

An ICE Unit attempted to stop a vehicle on Interstate 24 and the suspect fled, Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold said. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released to the public, then wrecked on John Rice Boulevard and fled officers on foot.

The Sheriff's Office is searching the area for the suspect with K-9s and deputies.

More to come.

Im glad all these cops are in such great physical condition they let this guy get away. Seriously tho, can we afford to pay for them to join gyms? because it would probably be more cost efficient than letting all these criminals run away and spend time trying to prove he was actually the one running(since he wasnt caught at the scene)
