Blackman grad killed on combat mission in Afghanistan

Spc. Russell Shane Hercules Jr. was killed while on a combat mission Thursday Oct. 1 in Afghanistan with the Pathfinder Company 4th BN 101st Airborne 159 CAB.

Hercules, 22, was a graduate of Blackman High School and will be honored with a moment of silence before Blackman’s football game tonight.

Hercules is survived by his wife Victoria (Tori) Hercules, his 4-month-old son Christopher, stepdaughter Cadence, father Russell Hercules of Winchester and mother and Cheryl Tipton of Murfreesboro.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Woodfin Memorial Chapel at www.woodfinchapel.com or 615-893-5151.

How wonderful that our ignorant president was over trying to work on the olympics instead of answering the needs of these young men over in afghanistan. Shame on you Obama.
