Black security officer locates noose in building

TMP Reports

A noose tied on a rope in a boiler room caught the attention of a black security guard at the Wakefield Corp. building Wednesday on Medical Center Parkway, Murfreesboro Police reported.

This is the second noose found by security officer Anthony Wayne Knox, an employee of Star Command, reported Officer Sean Garrison.

Knox found the noose tied to the end of a small rope attached to a welding rack in the boiler room.

“While Mr. Knox stated that he did not believe its presence was directed toward him, he did find it suspicious since he had found a noose tied onto the same rope on this rack around two months ago,” Garrison reported.

The noose appeared to be haphazardly tied to the end of the cart.

Knox told Garrison he didn’t have any problems with anyone and did not perceive the rope as a threat. Garrison took pictures of the noose and removed it as evidence.
