The following “bizarre” report was on file last week with Murfreesboro Police.
A Murfreesboro woman got in a spot of trouble after Murfreesboro Police Dispatch accused her of harrassment.
A dispatcher claimed the woman had called 9-1-1 multiple times for a “non-police related matter” and “was intentionally trying to disrupt emergency services with inappropriate calls,” Murfreesboro Police Officer Carl Wilkins reported.
“Dispatch further advised that this has occurred six times over a two-day period,” Wilkins wrote in an MPD incident report.
When contacted, the woman admitted to placing the calls and said “she called intentionally on all those times just because she was mad and felt the dispatcher was rude. (The suspect) stated she had no police matter, but she wanted to get her point across,” Wilkins said.
Wilkins warned the woman not to misuse emergency services and that 9-1-1 is only to be used in case of an actual emergency.
He also warned her if she did it again, she could be arrested.
