Two women who apparently did not want to spend money on toilet paper were caught Oct. 28 throwing several rolls that were on display outside of the Dollar General on Cason Lane in a car.

“(A woman) reported that while she was sitting in her vehicle at Captain D’s, she observed a black female in a green shirt throwing toilet paper to another black female,” Officer Zachary Ferrell report in a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report.

“The complainant advised that (one of the suspects) was loading the merchandise into a green SUV,” Ferrell reported, noting that the two suspects stole an estimated $60 worth of toilet paper.

Ferrell reported Dollar General employees explained they had set up a display stand in front of the store to advertise the toilet paper was on sale.

“The manager of Dollar General advised that none of the subjects had purchased the items,” Ferrell reported, adding the woman who initially called police positively identified the two suspects, both of who were still outside the store.

“I made contact with the both suspects in the parking lot of (Dollar General) and observed several items matching the description of the stolen goods in plain view in the trunk,” he reported. “Therefore, both were issued misdemeanor citations for theft.”

The toilet paper was also returned to Dollar General before the suspects were told leave.

Sounds like these ladies may have had an extreme case of "Mud butt". Cases like these have become very common in the Cason Lane area.
