The following “bizarre” report was on file last week with Murfreesboro Police.
A Murfreesboro man reported Thursday that he discovered two dead birds tied in twine to the front pillar of his Iris Avenue home in Murfreesboro.
“I did observe two dead birds on the front porch tied with twine to the front pillar,” reported Officer Hayley Alden in a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report.
The 25-year-old man told police he was concerned because his house keys had gone missing two days ago and the twine that was used to tie the birds together appeared to be the same kind of material he kept inside the residence.
Alden reported nothing else was missing from the home. She also took pictures of the scene before the man disposed of the birds.
According to the report, the man did not identify any possible suspects or gave any reason as to why dead birds would have been left on the front porch of his home. |
