The following “bizarre” report was on file last week with Murfreesboro Police.
A 19-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication, underage consumption and a slew of other charges after assaulting several people at an apartment complex gym Tuesday night.
The suspect was hanging out at the gym with some friends when he started to get “rowdy,” MPD Officer Sean Martin reported.
He performed a wrestling move on one woman, when he put her in a headlock and slammed her head in the ground. He then assaulted another man and another woman before using his skateboard to break out the front window of the gym.
When police arrived, the suspect was seen hiding in the backyard of a neighboring house.
Once taken to the county jail, the suspect “started to yell and make rude comments,” Martin reported. He then tried to headbutt Martin and was taken down with pepper spray.

A local woman’s car was the victim of a hit and run last week causing damage to the front bumper.
While the offender didn’t leave a note, someone else did, which said an old woman in a gold car hit the victim’s car and fled the scene.
