The following “bizarre” report was on file last week at Murfreesboro Police Department.
Suspect Ricky Waters, 57, whose address is unknown, was found in the driver’s seat of the car at fault in a crash on Bell Street near Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
After spotting Officer Chris Gann, Waters yelled, “Go ahead and take me to jail.” Gann obliged after observing Waters smelled of alcohol, slurred his speech and almost fell.
“An inventory of the vehicle revealed spilled beer in the center console and an open container of Milwaukee’s Best in the passenger side front floorboard,” Gann reported. “There was also a metal crack pipe in the center console.”
Once at the jail, Waters gave the wrong name but still couldn’t give his address or occupation.
