The following “bizarre” report was on file last week with Murfreesboro Police Department.

Suspect Willie Weesner, 46, of Bridge Ave. allegedly stole beer from the Dodge Store Sunday on Northwest Broad Street, Officer Michael Rickard reported. The clerk asked Weesner to stop.

Another customer grabbed Weesner so Weesner hit the customer, the officer reported. The customer punched Weesner, causing a cut above his left eye. Weesner pedaled away on a bicycle but was apprehended across the street at A+ Bonding.

Rickard charged Weesner with public intoxication. He was also cited for theft of the beer.
