Bizarre behavior in the 'Boro

The following “bizarre” report was on file last week with Murfreesboro Police.

A known drug user tried to buy a $50 crack cocaine “rock” Tuesday on Academy Street from her regular dealer, Officer Dave Norton reported.

Instead, a man with a black hoodie and braids accused her of being a “snitch,” the officer reported. She ran down Chestnut Street. The man pushed her to the ground and attempted to stab her but a car coming apparently scared him away. She told Norton she didn’t know the man.

“She is afraid to purchase drugs in that area now,” Norton reported.

Good...would be better though if she were afraid to purchase drugs ANYWHERE ever again! I wish her a full recovery for a new beginning.

I have lived here for 19 years, the same street corners have been used during that entire 19 years for that drug selling purpose. I just assumed it was ok by the powers that be.
