| Bill Taylor, founder of Murfreesboro’s first and largest martial arts school will be providing free “Stranger Danger” classes from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, July 13 at the Broad Street dojo and from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, July 26 at the Business Campus Drive dojo.
With more children at risk by predatory adults, there is a growing need for young people to learn self-preservation and self-defense skills.
Bill Taylor has provided instruction to young people for several years on how to not be a victim.
“Several years ago we recognized the need for addressing the child abduction crisis with our students in our karate classes,” Taylor said. The instruction became so popular that parents in the community began asking about doing separate classes that provided instruction on how not to be a victim.
So, we created the “Stranger Danger” class which teaches the students how to recognize, avoid and deal with dangerous strangers in a calm, confident manner.”
This class is designed to help give children the skills necessary to avoid dangerous strangers when they can and also what to do when they can’t.
