BPU Holdings announced Wednesday Entertainment Development Group, Inc. (EDG North America), a California-based company, has signed on to take over development responsibilities for Bible Park USA.

EDG North America senior executive Robert Wyatt will head the management team for BPU Holding, LLC, a Delaware-based company established to develop and operate the Park.

“We are focused on the decision of locating the park,” Wyatt said, “and we expect to make an announcement very soon.”

BPU Holdings had looked to Rutherford County’s Blackman Community as its first choice for the park’s location. However, the Rutherford County Commission failed to approve the park after a contentious debate in May. Lately, BPU Holdings has been negotiating with Lebanon and Wilson County to locate the park off State Route 840.

Wyatt is a founding partner of EDG North America. EDG North America will form a management team to develop, build and operate the Park. Wyatt, formerly a senior executive with BRC Imagination Arts, directed the overall design of Bible Park USA during his tenure with BRC.

“We are very pleased to assume responsibility for developing Bible Park USA,” Wyatt said.

Bar Tur get bumped or what?

By: Gene_O on 9/10/08
I'd just like to point out that Robert Wyatt is the same as one "Rob Wyatt" who was propped up by Armon Bar Tur as an "expert" on theme park attendance. When residents and the newspapers questioned how BPUSA could possible have drawn 1.5 million in a year, Armon Bar Tur disguised his business partner Rob Wyatt as a "consultant with Entertainment Design Group." Look it up. This is the kind of dishonesty none of our newspapers could uncover because they didn't look.

Also, Google news items about Mr. Bar Tur's other theme park project - Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach. It is drowning in debt and will struggle to even draw a million in the heart of Myrtle Beach. Folks we came "this close" to being had! Don't forget how naive you commissioners are when you vote.

Gene O, you hit the nail on the head. We need to make sure that everyone knows how the commissioners voted on the park when election time rolls around.

Gene O,
Good points.
It would be most useful to all concerned if you were to publish your material as letters to the editors of our local papers; Murfreesboro Post, DNJ, Tennessean.
Thanks for your comment.

Let's also remember the commissioners who voted against the rezoning for BPUSA and reward them at election time. Thank goodness it looks like Rutherford County will be spared this embarrassment.

BPU announced during the summer that the location would be selected in 30 days. Now, we are being told the announcement will made "soon." They are just waiting to see how the Shelton family lawsuit turns out.
