Betty Jane Serfas, 83, of Woodbury, died Monday, Oct. 1 at Stones River Hospital.

A native of Elmira, N.Y., Serfas was a retired civil service worker, homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church.

She is sirvived by her husband Milton K. Serfas of Woodbury; her children Milton K. (Linda) Serfas Jr. of Woodbury, Gary Serfas of Shelbyville and Bonnie J. Herrell of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren: Kim Maynard, Kenny Serfas, Heather Serfas, Travis (Emily) Serfas, Jason (Ryan) Serfas, Jennifer (Steve) West & Melissa (Dale) Hines; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Victor Kerr and Mildred Mae Black Kerr.

A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at Woodbury Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Bro. Herb Alsup will officiate.
