Betty Belden Shores, age 92, of Murfreesboro, went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2010 at Stones River Hospital in Woodbury. She was a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota but resided in Rutherford County for most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a retired LPN Nurse. She will be missed by her loving family and leaving behind precious memories.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Coleman and Vergie Coleman; husband, Wayne Vanzant Shores; brother, Lee A. Coleman, Jr. and sister, Margaret Lee Petry. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Parker of Murfreesboro; half-brother, Herman Coleman; and three grandchildren, Geri (Edward) Eusepi, Dwayne (Lisa) Parker and Marty (Missy) Parker.
The funeral service for Betty will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Darrell Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
