Southeast Baptist Church resurrects the village of Bethlehem from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 4 at 708 Minerva Drive.
Since this is the popular event’s 30th anniversary, the congregation is offering this free Christmas gift on two weekends, instead of one. The event will also be held Dec. 10 and Dec. 11.
The marketplace is a re-enactment of how the village of Bethlehem might have appeared just after the birth of Jesus.
Featuring Roman soldiers, live camels and other animals, tentmakers, weavers, carpenters, merchants, the village is performed entirely by church members in period costumes.
No admission will be charged.
