Bertha Alice Welborn, age 70, of Lascassas, passed away on January 21, 2010 in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic. She was a native of Morton’s Gap, Kentucky but resided in Lascassas, Tennessee. She was a member of the Baptist Church and a retired Hotel Manager.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Herman L. Moore and Mary Cox Moore. She is survived by her husband, Clarence L. Welborn of Lascassas; Charles Lynn Welborn, Jeffery A. Welborn, Mike Welborn, Alan Plunkett, Wade Plunkett, Jerry D. Welborn; brothers, James Herman Moore and John T. Moore; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A chapel service for Alice will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Tony Long officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
