Every summer, Business Leader ranks the Top 300 Small Businesses of the West and South. On this year's list was the Jesse C. Beesley Animal Humane Foundation.
Rankings are based on financial performance, business achievement, and community involvement. Businesses must: employ fewer than one hundred employees, generate at least fifty percent of its sales locally, be in business for at least five years, have a revenue growth over last one and five year time frames, demonstrate business achievement (industry-specific honors and awards), and demonstrate community achievement (community recognition awards).
Business Leader held its annual Top 300 Small Businesses Gala Awards Dinner for Nashville on June 26th at the Brentwood Country Club. Top small businesses in both the Nashville area and entire South were honored.
Amanda Oliver, Executive Director, and John Dietrich, Foundation Board Chair, represented the Jesse C. Beesley Animal Humane Foundation at the gala. Amanda Oliver accepted the award ranking #25 out of 42 in the Nashville Metropolitan Area and #159 out of 300 small businesses in the South. Oliver credits the achievement of this award to the hard working staff, past and present Foundation Board members, and to the supportive community that help with volunteerism, our clients, and the support of our donors.
Oliver’s leadership since 2003 certainly has something to do with this honor. The Beesley Foundation and Clinic is proud to serve in Middle Tennessee.
