Battlefield plans clean-up, Ken Burns film on Saturday

Stones River National Battlefield will celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 26 by continuing to restore areas damaged by the April 10, 2009 tornado by picking up debris, planting new trees and eliminating invasive exotic plants. A sneak preview of Ken Burn's new documentary will follow.

Clean-up hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon with a rain date of Oct. 3, 2009.

Volunteers should meet at the picnic area near Stones River National Battlefield's visitor center. Terri Hogan is contact person. Call 615-893-9501.
